The Tour

Starting at the tourist office: San Martín St and Juana Fadul St corner.
We go along San Martín Avenue, across the city centre, with the first settlers' houses in view.
We go into the restrained area of the Naval Base to see the first buildings of the city, the replica of the end of the world’s lighthouse and the famous Ushuaia´s Old Prison building.
We roll over Gobernador Paz Street, at the top of the city, which allows a glimpse of the different population steps of the city.
We arrive at a short stop at ¨Paseo del Centenario¨ Park, a panoramic viewpoint where you can see the mountain ranges that surround the city and the Islands along the Beagle Channel.
Following Rosas Street, we go down to the coast level to face the stranded ship “Saint Christopher”, and hear about its story.
Slowly driving over Pasarela Street with the sea flanking on both sides of the bus we enter into the innermost site of Close Bay (the Mission’s neighbourhood) looking upon the city as if you were on a vessel.
There we have a photo stop at the high lands of the old airport.
Then edging the bay to return to the starting point, we pass through some historical interest sites and buildings.
At the end of our tour you can hop off at the Maritime Museum (Old jail).
